I don't know what is going on out on the road but it seems that everyone is getting worse with their driving. I couldn't begin to count the number of times I'm cut off, behind someone with their turn signal on for longer than it needs to be, and people just being inconsiderate. I don't claim myself to be the best driver on the road but there is a set of unwritten and written rules of the road. Being courteous to others on the road is a mandatory thing or else the whole house of cards goes crumbling down.
People just don't have any concept of another driver on the road so seem to act as though no one else is on the road. Turn signals were made as a part of the car for a reason people so use them when switching lanes and turning. There is a beautiful balance between leaving your signal on too long and just plain using it accordingly.
Whenever I am trying to get from point A to point B safely, I always seem to get in back of the schmuck that's driving 20 miles under the speed limit. They post speed limits so that you go around that posted speed limit. That doesn't mean to slow down traffic because you're a moron and can't seem to understand the meaning of signs. How about those assholes that knowingly go down the wrong side of the road just to save a few seconds on their route to the trailer park. Again, there are regulations put into place for the well being of yourself and others. So, obey those rules before you kill somebody due to your stupidity. I was told when I was in drivers-ed that the zipper effect was when cars from two lanes can merge together into one lane like the little grooves on a zipper come together one after the other. The concept is simple and if everyone followed it, everything will be fine. All you have to do is let a car go in front of you and then you go. The car in back of you let's a car go in front of it and so on and so forth. Learn this and be helpful.
My though is that everyone, even senior citizen's, should retake their driver's test so we can weed out all of those that are fucking up the daily commute for the rest of us. Another thought is that you must have a certain level of smartness to drive any kind of vehicle. This is so that no dumb asses are behind the wheel creating havoc on the roads.
I am officially sick and tired of these sons-of-bitches on the roads making it more difficult to get to where we want to be without having to endure their bull shit. This blog is a result of many years of torment from other drivers that has led me to this rant.
